Around 87 % of women are still confused regarding what beauty products are right for them and what to trust. Similarly, most beauty brands/retailers are still struggling to personalise their upsells, emails and recommendations using predicting machine learning with beauty specific meta data layers such as ingredients, seasonality and more. Beauty Matching Engine™ truly helps to cater to real problems by helping brands increase their conversion rates and sales while at the same time helping customers find the right products for them and improving their shopping experience.

Hence, Kate Minogue, Head of Marketing Science, Gaming EMEA, stated: “The Best Use of Data Science/AI for Customer Experience was awarded to Beauty Matching Engine™ founded by Nidhima Kohli, the only startup finalist in this category and a company built on deploying Machine Learning to solve real customer problems.”

The event, sponsored by Facebook, nominated prestigious professionals in the industry of Data Science to judge the awards. For Best Customer Experience using AI, the Vice President Data Science at Equinor, the Manager of Artificial Intelligence at Eaton, the Executive Director of Data Kind and the already mentioned above Head of Marketing Science, Gaming EMEA, at Facebook, made the decision of giving the beauty tech startup, Beauty Matching Engine™, the reputable award.

Nidhima Kohli, founder and CEO of Beauty Matching Engine™,who was in Paris at the time of the event, said “I’m really proud of my team for achieving this award. I’m also very happy that we won because there are many companies out there that claim to be doing AI who are not and this helps us stand out as experts in AI. The award has raised the company’s profile, especially as AI is really difficult to achieve in Beauty and we are going to continue to invest in Data and Innovation in order to help our clients provide the best possible customer experience.”

In the past, Beauty Matching Engine™ has also been a finalist of the Retail Week Awards with notable mentions across many publications on the impact their solution brings to the beauty industry.
